Japanese Film Review: Densha Otoko: Train_Man (2005 Film)

みなさん、こんにちは!
Hello Everyone!

I found this story to be fairly interesting, but overall in the end, it wasn't that great (in my opinion). It was cute, funny and corny at times (What romance movie isn't?), but in the end I rated it average.

The movie starts off with a the male protagonist was "twittering"...lol... I seriously couldn't tell what it was... but apparently he was popular on the web that many people would go to his page and help him out with his daily life. As said above, meets the girl of his dreams, and does everything possible to get her attention and affection (that's where his fellow "followers" come along to help).

Though my rating was average, I hope you watch this movie yourself, it was fairly good and it was based on a true story. Well, so it said. I forgot to mention the change in appearance, the male protagonist gets in order to gain his love interest attention.  That is one of the main reasons why I enjoyed this movie. I loved the fact that this movie has a male protagonist playing the lead in this romance story rather then a female, which is fairly common. And he does all the things a girl (in most asian romance stories) does to make the guy catch their attention. I thought that was a nice change.

I've given this movie an average rating, because I got lost at times (the typing), and didn't know what was going on... and some small chunks were rather boring (in my opinion)... though loved the story line.  I may consider re-watching this film so I could see if my opinion changes... (I watched it like six months ago.)

I hope I didn't discourage you to watch it... I actually recommend you to watch this movie so you could judge it with your own opinions...
