Film Review: Disney's A Christmas Carol

Hello Eveyone!

Today I am talking about how Disney's version of A Christmas Carol follows up to its adaptation Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol it kept all the key points to it's adaption which was fairly great in my opinion bringing this story to life (once again)

I believe Disney did a great job on this movie except for the animation, but I was not very found of the animation. I believe the animation lowered the rating to this story. It just made every character look ugly and scary in my opinion... I know this movie starts off with an dark mood but later on it changes to a more light and happy mood and the animation just made it, look the same... Yes, I dislike the animation a lot.... but I still gave this movie a four star rating.

SYNOPSIS:

As many of you may already know the story line to this lovely Christmas tale. (Warning: Spoilers Ahead.) The story starts off with Ebenezer Scrooge a very rich old man who just hates christmas, he believes "this time of year" to be the worst time of year and he dislikes everyone who is not bitter like him.

He is also a very cheap/stingy man. His Nephew (Fred) invites Mr. Scrooge to dine with him and his family, but Scrooge immediately refuses and sends his nephew away. He doesn't give a penny to the poor when asked and bearly allows his worker (Bob Cratchit) to take 25th off. Later that night (the story starts off on Christmas Eve), Scrooge is visited by his old friend (Marley's) Ghost who has been dead for seven years and is warned that he is to be visited by three spirits (Past/Present/Future) that night so he can get his act together.

As he is led to his childhood you could see how Scrooge indeed loved Christmas at one point in his life, but as more christmas go by you could see how these events change his emotions towards the holiday... I feel that I have said to much already... Either you know the story or you don't... and if you don't I recommend you to leave this page and go rent it now or just click on the links below.
