I been meaning to watch this for the longest time (big fan of the manga!!). Though, I am not a big or should I say I wasn't a big fan of Korean Dramas.
Especially, since I am not the biggest fan of subtitles. I hate having to read and watch when I could just be watching. All that aside I am glad I I ended up watching this. Though I am not done yet, I'm on episode 8 out of 25 episodes. As of now, I really do enjoy watching this drama. Even, though it can be extremly violent at times, but hey, have you read the manga? lol.
It is so good! <-- just incase I didn't make that clear.
I recommend you to watch this lovely drama... even if you do not like foreign dramas... I know for a fact the story line its self is intriguing, but this drama was well directed and adding how attractive these actors are (especially for girls) you will love it. At least give the first episode a chance, though you may not want to stop there. (:
I will review this Drama again once I finish the drama!! (with a better, review...I hope.)

SYNOPSIS:
Boys Over Flowers starts off with Geum Jan Di a girl who saves a bullied teenagers life from committing suicide because of the F4. This event later helps Jan Di get a scholarship to Shin Hwa High (the student was from Shin Hwa). Lot's of people were protesting the event while they made Jan Di a hero leading to Kang Hee Soo (Joon Pyo's mother) offering her a scholarship with the excuse of being a swimming scholarship in order to stop the protesting. Jan Di is a outcast among the Shin Hwa High Students therefore, only gaining a friend. Who later accedently falls trips and falls on the leader of the F4 named Gu Joon Pyo.
The Flower Four known as "the F4" who are from the richest families in Korea making them the most popular and hottest group in Shin Hwa High. The F4 invented a "game" with the guidelines of someone getting a red card --by them-- in their locker they are immediately shunned from the school the percentage of people end up moving in account of this. The group contains four members whom are Gu Joon Pyo, Joon Ji Hoo, So Yi Yung, and Song Woo Bin each play their part in the group.
Because, Jan Di stood up to Gu Joon Pyo in order to protect her friend the next day she has a red card in her locker oblivious of what this actually means she just throws it and walks a way this leads to many days of torment for Jan Di. Joon Pyo makes tormenting Jan Di into a regular thing that eventually stops realizes his feelings for her, but does Jan Di?
My Over View:
Events I found funny
- A cartoon feel to it:
- Jan-Di saves that one kids life, by just holding him with on hand. Really realistic...right... Huh, Huh... lol... I thought it was just funny. I like the cartoon feel of this drama.
Comparing to Original (Manga)
*Not giving away any details that would spoil the drama.
- Names Changed:
- Their names were changed! I know... I know... it's because their Korean now...lol... but, I got confused of what to call them.. so I just called them base on their manga names.
- For example: Gu Joon Pyo is named Domyoji Tsukasa in the manga. (I still call him "Tsukasa")
- Events Changed/Added:
- And of course... events changed. Though, I firmly believe that the changes did not hurt the drama what's so ever. The changes were still cute and such though, I did think "that's not how it went" but I liked it.
- I especially liked the a the side love story that was added into the drama it gave it that extra pinch of sweetness.
- Actors: fit the part! They actually looked like the animated characters including the descriptive part of them being hot :O! Well, in my opinion they did especially Joon Pyo. (he...he... Hair.)
Character Development
Lee Min Ho who plays Gu Joon Pyo in the drama really got into character. You could feel the chemistry between him and the female lead who is Geum Jan Di played by Ku Hye Sun. They with the rest of the cast play their parts extremely well bringing the story to life.
CAST:
Ku Hye-Sun as Geum Jan Di
Geum Jan Di is a strong, determine female protagonist who lives life as it comes her way. The students of Shin Hwa High School know her and her family as “commoners,” because she isn't rich as they are. Jan Di was offered a scholarship for saving a bullied student (was bullied by the F4) who was about to commit suicide. Later, she herself gets bullied by the F4 for standing up to them in order to protected her friend. 
Lee Min Ho as Gu Joon Pyo
Gu Jun Pyo is the leader of the F4 (the Flower Four) who is the popular group in Shin Hwa because the group members are the richest guys at Shin Hwa. He begins to torment Jan Di after she stood up to him and the F4 but, as he gets closer to her instead of mistreating her he slowly starts falling for her. Jun Pyo personality slowly goes from a cold hearted thug to a light hearted person as his love towards Jan Di develops. -- He even waits for her in the cold snow on their "first date" that's how much his personality changes.
Kim Hyun Joong as Yoon Ji Hoo
Yoon Ji Hoo is another member of the F4. He is the second riches member of the F4 and is also the son of the former president of Korea. Ji Hoo has a mysterious personality with the talent of playing the violin. His violin playing led to him becoming acquainted with Jan Di who he later becomes good friends with in a fast note. He also suffers --though he hides his pain-- from an unrequited love.
Kim Bum as So Yi Jung
So Yi Jung another member of the F4 his family owns Korea's largest art museum. Yi Jun is also a very skilled potter (in the drama you will see a couple of scenes where he is making some pots). He's personality is between being a jerk and sweet in my opinion for he is a very clam person. He way of being later changes because of his love interest.
Kim Joon as Song Woo Bin
Kim So Eun as Chu Ga Eul
Chu Ga Eul is Geum Jan Di's best friend who sticks by herside no matter what. Though they do not attend the same school they do work at the same place. Ga Eul is a sweet character who tends to give attitude whenever she is annoyed (especiall at Yin Jung). She is invited to most of Jan Di's adventures and trips.
